They could think of no better reason why they should keep on fighting.

02. Broken
A body stripped of all its strength and defense was not a useless one; Io dashed straight toward his pillar before the Andromeda Saint could notice him.

03. Vanish
Aiolia could now scorn the secret hope once nourished by a child that his brother would one day return, although the memory of that child's heart lived still.

04. Rain
Whenever Shun was missing his brother, the strongest image of Ikki that came to mind was that of him walking into the rain - too gruesomely romantic, yet somehow apt.

05. Ocean
Shunrei loved what she had heard about the ocean, but her dreams of it were barely with Shiryuu in them.

06. Tense
"As strong as I used to be, have been, and ever will be," said Douko, staring at Shion across the Libra Shield.

07. Soon
Soon, he whispered, and Eurydice could have cried at how hopeful he actually sounded.

08. Why
"Do victims of my Scarlet Needle have to bleed so damn much, and all over my floor too?" Milo asked the mop and bucket as he carried them to the Scorpio Temple.

Seiya, with the unshakable reassurance only six-year-olds possessed, strongly maintained that playing soccer was more fun than constructing snowmen.

10. Fallen
Was she, Shaina wondered as she fell in front of Poseidon, more afraid for herself or for Seiya who would endure much, much more than this?

Hails of snow, howling wind, rolling across their windows at night; for the two sisters these were the definitions of home.

She opened the door to salvation for them faster than they would have believed possible; Saga, Shura and Camus had no regrets left now.

The blurred memory of a vivacious brown-haired boy was the missing piece of the puzzle that bewildered and hurt Seika most.

Being a Venus flytrap, Lymnades Kasa had little to do other than scan the horizon for would-be casualties.

Esmeralda's grave also served as the repository of Ikki's old soul.

"I regret to say that I am a mere Gold Saint, not a navigator," Shaka said, as he and Saori looked around to make sure which part of Meikai they were presently at.

The rising sea tide washing over Kanon day after day was fuel to his hatred.

Since Aiakos and Minos had rarely, if ever, shown themselves when Orpheus came to Giudecca, their presence made him feel he was the one at fault here.

If only, Seiya thought wistfully, the way to Main Breadwinner were linear.

21. Weep
Tears delegated themselves to the level of mild boredom after a few years; to Saga's other self, a relief.

22. Blind
Saga was not certain whether it was good or bad luck that many of the Silver Saints chose to entrust the direction of their steps in the hands of the leader of Sanctuary.

23. Pact
Theirs had not been a mutual agreement in the first place - therefore, to Thanatos, Pandora's unexpected move was not all that surprising.

24. Flight
The false light in the distance had been the beginning of Orpheus' flight instead of the end.

25. Hard
There was nothing difficult in hitting that immobile, Shun-like form on the throne; it was Shun's gentle, determined voice that was more bound to make Ikki falter.

26. War
Losing a battle did not equal losing the war; still Seiya would feel worlds better when he could gain the upper hand in both.

27. Deed
"I fix Cloths because helping others is a good thing," Muu told Kiki, feeling the cracks deftly with his fingers, "though, of course, charging the owners for it isn't such a bad idea either."

28. Unknown
That the Gold Saints had never ventured into the castle before was already one point in Radamanthys' favor.

29. Deep
"Yes, Kokytos is more than five feet deep - the mangaka is keeping your friends afloat for the time being so the readers can see them and thus my point in bringing you here," answered Valentine, somewhat crossly.

30. Sudden
If Sorento found Athena's appearance in the hospital room to be shocking, what followed next rocked him even more.

31. Dread
Standing at the edge of the chasm where Deathmask had fallen, Shiryuu discovered that Pyrrhic victory was no victory at all.

32. Burn
The temperature in the Aquarius Temple was swiftly dropping below zero, and Hyouga had never stood amidst a fiercer fire.

33. Clock
"Should you require a more dramatic appearance for the Fire Clock, His Highness," the technician said, bowing, "then I suggest you use gas to light it up, so that the flames will burn in blue."

34. Words
Words, the right ones, were what it took in order to release Shun's hidden potential; Daidalos also knew there would not always be someone around to say them.

35. Fast
"I've had it with being captured by enemies," Saori declared, "they don't even offer me meals during my confinement."

36. Three
Athena Exclamation was forbidden because it pained her to see that as many as three Gold Saints would be willing to commit a dishonorable act.

37. Place
Squeezing himself into the chest filled with flowers, Seiya reflected sadly that the Pisces Temple was, at least, spacious.

38. Irony
He tried to preserve the one life which was also the reason for Sanctuary's very existence, and was being chased down for it; to Aiolos, amusing in a twisted way.

39. Sky
The starless sky silently crumbled down over Meikai, with no one to observe it but the oblivious dead.

40. Closet
A better bed than his own; Seiya was sinking into the sheets of freshly washed linen and snoring in no time flat.

41. Real
Ikki's back, her own imminent death; Pandora fleetingly wished for a moment's respite so she could relive her parents' warm touch, now too long gone.

42. Fair
The fairest of the Gold Saints against the fairest of the Bronze Saints - just another proof that fate could be obliging, Aphrodite thought, giving the mirror one last look.

43. Knot
Did she search for Seiya's sister because she was that fond of him, or because she was secretly hoping that the greater powers would take pity on her and retie her bond with her own brother?

44. Low
Muu would have given the Specters his further opinion of men crawling fast and quiet in the shadows had it not been for Seiya's arrival.

45. Well
Keeping Seiya constantly in her prayers did not even guarantee that he would stay whole and healthy, but Miho did it without fail.

46. Token
One good turn deserved another, Isaac decided, watching Hyouga try to staunch the blood spurting out of his left eye.

47. Ugly
"Saints have got more guys that fangirls can squee over - not that it'd help them any," Gigant mused, sounding not a little envious.

48. Lure
Someday Tethys might just sing her song again to make Julian step past the salt-washed sand and tell her he now remembered what he had done for her all those years ago.

49. Drink
Like water, Athena was the sight that always brought new life and caused it to course through his shattered, weary body.

50. Dust
The scattered dust that had been Shion; Douko smiled at this final parting and gentle reminder.
