1. George Orwell's reasons for writing. Yes, I write to get back to those who thought I couldn't because I'm vindictive like that :D

I will only say that of late years I have tried to write less picturesquely and more exactly.

Can't we achieve both?

2. I have a strong, horrible suspicion that I may not post another fanfic for the remainder of the year. Hence, I'm doing the year in fic meme. I'm not going to mention all the fics I've written this year, only those I feel like talking about.
